Imam Mahdi in a Manuscript entitled: "The Forty Years of Dhul-Qarnayn The Second's Kingdom Manuscript" by the Scholar "Shukru-Allah Abu Al-hassan Al-tunusi"

The Mahdi is similar in the Qur’an to Dhul-Qarnayn the first, and his kingdom will be greater than Dhul-Qarnayn's, as he has a sword that, when he raises it, the kingdoms will fall before him by submission and the tyrants will fall before him by force, and he will conquer every land he wants to conquer by Allah’s command, and Allah’s love for the divine servant will be manifested in him. 

Allah will gather for the Mahdi the people of the east and the people of the west, and he will be in charge of their affairs for forty years, as narrated by Ibn Hammad, if less, not less than thirty-nine years, and if more, not more than fourty-nine years. 

In the time of the Mahdi, the sky will give its rain and the earth will bring out its bounty, and Allah will fill the earth with light, justice, and knowledge through the Mahdi, as it was filled with darkness, oppression, and ignorance. The Mahdi's journey around the world reaching the four corners of the earth, makes him Dhul-Qarnayn the second, and Allah will dignify the Mahdi because he is the grandson of our master Muhammad; may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
